I am a Graduate and Certified Gemologist with over two decades of experience in the jewelry industry, and I bring a deep commitment to accuracy, integrity, and professionalism in every appraisal I provide. My credentials from the Gemological Institute of America, the American Gem Society, and the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers reflect a lifelong dedication to excellence in gemology. I was also recently awarded the “Women in Leadership” Scholarship from the American Gem Society.

My story
Growing up in Iowa, I was the kind of child who could always be found searching for something shiny in the dirt—captivated by the sparkle of stones and the thrill of discovery. That early fascination with gems stayed with me, eventually guiding me across the country to pursue formal training at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). There, I earned my Graduate Gemologist diploma and laid the foundation for what has become a lifelong career in the jewelry industry.
Over the years, I’ve continued to deepen my expertise through advanced coursework in jewelry design and manufacturing, and by working with a variety of companies across the industry. I am a Certified Gemologist with the American Gem Society and a Certified Member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers. I am also in the final stages of earning the Certified Gemologist Appraiser designation through the American Gem Society, one of the most respected credentials in the field.
