Jessica is a Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America, one of the most widely respected gemological laboratories internationally. GIA is known for developing the diamond grading system used by most appraisers, jewelers, and customers today, and is also renowned for their gemstone identification and research.
The American Gem Society is the country’s preeminent jewelry trade organization dedicated to consumer protection. Since 1934, they have been making it easier and safe to buy jewelry of any kind. Members of the American Gem Society must be committed to continual growth and education in order to keep their credential. Members are committed to upholding industry ethics to protect buyers. Jessica is currently a Certified Gemologist with the AGS, and soon will be awarded the prestigious Certified Gemologist Appraiser designation.
Since 1981, The National Association of Jewelry Appraisers is the only appraisal association in the United States that devotes itself solely to the appraisal of fine gems, jewelry, and timepieces. Jessi is a current member of NAJA and attends their yearly educational conferences for continuing education in the field of gemology and appraising. Jessica is currently a member of NAJA, soon to be a certified member.
The American Society of Jewelry Historians is a non-profit organization (501C3) which seeks to educate members on all things jewelry related, running the gamut from precious stones and metals and how pieces are created all the way to famous jewelry designers, memorable collectors, jewelry salons, important jewels and the tales that accompany them. Their mission is to utilize the organization's decades of experience sharing jewelry history with new generations of jewelry lovers worldwide. Jewelry is part of the human experience, and we want to make the stories as accessible as possible to all interested.
